On Friday, March 20, 2020, Premier Doug Ford joined Stephen Lecce, Minister of Education to launch the first phase of Learn at Home and Apprendre à la maison, a new online portal that will provide resources for families so students can continue their education while schools are closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Learn at Home offers all students online, high-quality, made-in-Ontario math and literacy resources, created by Ontario-certified educators, in both English and French. Board administration, staff and trustees gathered today to officially bless the plaque at the new St. Matthew Catholic Secondary School in Cornwall. The blessing was presided by Fr. John Whyte, CDSBEO Board Chaplain, with greetings brought by Chair Lalonde and Vice-Chair Eamer. Many thanks to all who attended!
St. Matthew also hosted the Board of Trustees for the Regular Board meeting for March 3. The Board enjoyed an amazing gourmet lunch served by St. Matthew CSS Hospitality students prior to the meeting. The students also created etched wooden charcuterie boards, inscripted with the spiritual theme, as a gift for each trustee and staff member in attendance.
The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario invites Catholic School Council parent leaders to apply for a vacant position on the CDSBEO Parent Involvement Committee representing Dundas and Stormont Counties.
Catholic School Council parent leaders are asked to serve a two-year term, and must be available to attend four meetings per year, in addition to other leadership responsibilities.
Catholic School Council parent leaders interested in serving on the CDSBEO Parent Involvement Committee are asked to complete the Parent Involvement Committee Application Form and return it to Norma McDonald at Norma.McDonald@cdsbeo.on.ca by Friday, November 23, 2018.
